Who We Are

You Are Not Broken, and You Don't Have to Carry This Alone

Trauma doesn't always come from one big event, and it doesn't need a name for you to feel its weight. Whether it's something that happened once or experiences that accumulated over time, living here in Reserve means you're often just trying to get through your day without that edge, that shutdown feeling, or memories pulling you back uninvited. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out.

At Integrative Recovery Therapies, we start where you are: building safety and clarity first, with your consent every step of the way. We never push you to disclose more than you're ready for. As you feel more resourced and grounded, we move toward the deeper work at your pace, not ours. Your life doesn't have to stay this way.

Why Clients Choose IRT

Trauma Support Built Around Reserve, Not a Protocol

Reserve sits in a region shaped by hurricanes and flooding that can upend lives in hours. When disaster strikes, trauma doesn't end when the water recedes. Counseling helps people process what they've lost and rebuild their sense of safety, so they can move forward without carrying the weight alone.

Safety and Consent First

We move toward deeper processing only when you feel resourced enough, never before you're ready.

Treated Like Family

A small team by design. You'll never be passed around or treated like a number.

Never Shaming

Non-punitive, always. We don't use shame as a tool, and we're direct with care.

Insurance-Friendly Access

Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial plans accepted.

How It Works

Your First Steps in Trauma Counseling

When you first reach out from Reserve, your counselor will take time to understand what brought you here and what you're hoping to find. Early sessions focus on learning what's worked before, what hasn't, and what matters most to you. There's no rush to share everything at once. Your nervous system sets the pace, not a timeline or a form.

01

Reach Out

A real member of our team, often one of our founders, responds personally to understand what's going on.

Building grounding, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance so daily life becomes more manageable.

03

Gently addressing traumatic material, only with consent, in a way that reduces intensity and restores choice.

04

Reconnection

Strengthening identity, relationships, and values-based living so your life isn't organized around what happened.
