Who We Are

You're Not a Label. You're a Person Who Deserves a Plan.

You're carrying a lot. The shame, the fear of relapse, the exhaustion of holding it together while working along the River Road corridor where everyone knows everyone. Looking for addiction counseling means admitting that substance use has tangled into your life in ways that willpower alone can't untangle, and that takes real courage.

At Integrative Recovery Therapies, counseling looks like sitting with someone who understands that addiction and mental health don't live in separate boxes. We listen to your actual life, your worries, your daily struggles. You won't be treated like a diagnosis or a case file. Your recovery happens in conversation, grounded in what's real for you right now, at your own pace.

Why Clients Choose IRT

Recovery Support Built Around Reserve, Not a System

Reserve's location along the industrial corridor brings real workplace pressures and stress that can lead people toward substance use as a way to cope. Addiction counseling gives you a place to work through those pressures with someone who understands your life, not someone judging it. When you're ready to build something better, having a counselor in your corner makes a genuine difference.

Human-First, Not a Case File

You are spoken to as a peer, not a problem. We do not use shame as a motivator.

Integrated Care

We address anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships alongside use, because separating them misses what keeps the cycle going.

Direct but Not Harsh

Accountability without shame. Steady honesty paired with real compassion, in the same conversation.

Insurance-Friendly Access

Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial plans accepted.

Ready to Talk to Someone Who Won't Judge You?

A real person, not a call center, will respond to your inquiry.

How It Works

Your First Steps in Addiction Counseling

Your first sessions together aren't about having answers. A counselor listens to your whole story - what led here, what matters to you, what's been hard. You don't need to feel ready or certain. Goals can form slowly, one conversation at a time. This is just the beginning, and that's enough.

01

Reach Out

A real member of our team, often one of our founders, responds personally to understand what's going on.

02

Clear, Respectful Assessment

We talk about use patterns, triggers, prior treatment, mental health, and what you want your life to look like.

03

Goals That Match Your Stage

Abstinence, harm reduction, or rebuilding stability after a setback, we're transparent about what we recommend and why.

04

Relapse Prevention, Ongoing

A practical plan for the urge and for the setback, plus reinforcement of what's already working.

Common Questions

Questions From Reserve Clients

Integrative Recovery Therapies serves clients throughout Reserve and the surrounding communities, including Luling, Paradis, Edgard, LaPlace, and Gramercy. We offer addiction counseling both in-person at our Metairie office and online through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth, so you can choose what works best for your schedule and comfort level.

Yes. We work with Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance plans. Our team will verify your specific benefits before your first session, and we're transparent about costs from the start.

No. Many clients feel split, part of them wants relief and part of them fears what recovery will require. We use Motivational Interviewing to explore that ambivalence without pressure or power struggles, and build honest momentum from wherever you're starting.

We currently are unable to offer support for schizophrenia and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. For most co-occurring concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders alongside substance use, we treat them together.

You Don't Have to Do This Alone.

You don't need to have it all figured out to reach out. One conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing - it's simply a chance to see if we're the right fit for where you are now. If we're not, we'll tell you straight and point you toward what might work better. That's the kind of honest partnership this work deserves.
