Who We Are

You Deserve to Feel Grounded Again

You don't need a diagnosis or a breaking point to reach out. If you're feeling stuck, reactive, exhausted, or disconnected, that's real and that's enough. Many people in Harvey notice how the industrial pace and demands of the community can wear you down over time, leaving you running on fumes. Counseling starts here, with what you're actually experiencing, not with waiting for things to get worse.

At Integrative Recovery Therapies, counseling is a structured conversation with a licensed clinician who listens to how you're actually living. We focus on building emotional regulation and sustainable change, one step at a time. You won't hear lectures or labels. Instead, you'll work with someone who takes your life seriously and helps you move toward steadier ground.

Why Clients Choose IRT

Mental Health Support Built Around Harvey, Not a System

Harvey's strong sense of community comes with real responsibilities—many here are caregiving for aging parents or grandchildren while managing their own work and household demands. That constant juggling can wear you down in ways you don't always notice until stress starts affecting your sleep or patience. Talking with a counselor gives you space to sort through those pressures and find steadier ground, so you can show up for the people you love without running on empty.

You're never reduced to a diagnosis. We focus on helping you feel grounded, connected, and capable of handling what life brings.

Treated Like Family

No Shame, Ever

We're direct when it supports growth, and we never use shame as a clinical tool.

Insurance-Friendly Access

Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial plans accepted.

Questions From Harvey Clients

Integrative Recovery Therapies serves Harvey and the surrounding communities, including Marrero, Waggaman, Estelle, Avondale, and Boutte. We offer mental health counseling both in person at our Metairie office and online through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth, so you can choose what works best for your schedule and comfort level.

Yes. We work with Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance plans. Our team will verify your specific benefits before your first session, and we're transparent about costs from the start.

No. Some people come in with a clear diagnosis already, and others start because they feel stuck, reactive, exhausted, or disconnected. Both are valid reasons to reach out, and we'll work with wherever you're starting from.

We currently are unable to offer support for schizophrenia and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. For most other concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and ADHD-related struggles, we treat them alongside anything else going on.

You Don't Have to Carry This Alone.

Reaching out can feel both relieving and unsettling, and that's completely normal. Your first conversation is simply about whether we're a good fit for each other - no promises required, no perfect words needed. You don't have to be in crisis or have everything figured out. We meet you as you are, and the process itself should lighten the weight, not add to it. Getting started is a choice about yourself, not a leap.
