Intentionally Small Groups
Our IOP groups stabilize at around 8 participants. That's not an accident. Smaller groups create real accountability, genuine peer connection, and enough space for every voice to matter.
Intimate, trauma-informed groups for addiction, co-occurring mental health, and the deeper work of rebuilding a life. Evening sessions. Medicaid and Medicare accepted.
Patterson sits along the Mississippi, and the work here runs deep. Whether it's the refinery pressure, the weight of keeping a family steady, or just the toll of showing up day after day in a place that demands so much, people carry real things. That's exactly why reaching out feels impossible sometimes. You're supposed to handle it. But you don't have to.
Integrative Recovery Therapies started in New Orleans with people who've lived through their own struggles. We built group therapy as a real place where you sit with others who get it, not a clinical checkbox. You'll hear actual stories. You'll find people who've walked similar roads. That's where something shifts. It's not about perfect answers. It's about being seen and knowing you're not alone in this.
Patterson residents often struggle to find mental health support that fits their schedules and their wallets. We get it: providers can be far away, hours don't work for working families, and Medicaid coverage is spotty. That's why we built our group therapy practice around real community needs: evening sessions, telehealth options, Medicaid acceptance, and small groups where you're never just a number. You deserve care that meets you where you are.
Our IOP groups stabilize at around 8 participants. That's not an accident. Smaller groups create real accountability, genuine peer connection, and enough space for every voice to matter.
Groups run Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6–9 PM. You keep your job, your family commitments, and your daily life while doing real recovery work.
Our co-founders include people who have walked their own recovery journeys. That shows up in how we listen, what we understand without explaining, and how we hold accountability without shame.
Quality care shouldn't require a private-pay budget. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and select commercial plans, because access is part of equity.
We don't separate substance use from the anxiety, trauma, or depression underneath it. Whole-person care treats the full picture, not just the most visible symptom.
Can't make it in person? Telehealth sessions are available for residents throughout Louisiana via HIPAA-compliant video. Same care, wherever you are.
A free 15-minute consultation. No pressure, no commitment. Just an honest conversation about whether we're a good fit.
Getting started doesn't require you to have it all together. Here's what happens next.
Fill out our short intake form or call us directly. A real person, often one of our founders, will respond personally, usually within one business day.
We'll talk honestly about what you're navigating, what you're looking for, and whether IRT is the right fit. No pressure. If we're not the right fit, we'll help you find who is.
The first meeting is about listening and relationship-building, not paperwork or protocols. You don't have to disclose everything. You just have to show up.
Together we define goals, talk through group vs. individual options, and build a plan that fits your life, not a one-size-fits-all treatment template.
Yes, we work with clients throughout the Patterson area, including Amelia, Baldwin, Centerville, and Bayou Vista. Since most of our services are available through telehealth, geography isn't much of a barrier for getting support. If you're interested in attending in-person group sessions, those are held in New Orleans and we can discuss what works best for your situation.
Our IOP groups meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 PM and typically include around 8 participants. Sessions blend psychoeducation, skills training (DBT, CBT, mindfulness-based approaches), and open peer dialogue in a structured but non-punitive environment. The goal isn't confession or compliance; it's genuine connection, practical skill-building, and honest accountability. Groups are intentionally small so that each person's voice gets space.
Yes. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and select commercial insurance plans. This is a deliberate choice. Access to quality mental health and addiction care should not be limited to people who can afford private-pay rates. If you have questions about your specific coverage, please contact us and we'll work through it with you directly, without judgment and without sales pressure.
Many of the people who come to us have been dismissed, rushed, or made to feel like a number in a system that wasn't built for them. We hear that often, and we take it seriously. IRT was built specifically to be different: small, relationship-centered, trauma-informed, and honest about what we can and can't offer. If something doesn't feel right, you can say so. We will not abandon you, and we will not shame you for having doubts.
We know reaching out is hard, especially if you've tried before or felt let down by the system. That's why we start simple: a free 15-minute conversation with no commitment required. You get to decide what happens next. Many people find that one conversation changes how they see their situation. It's worth finding out if you might be one of them.
No commitment required. Medicaid and Medicare accepted. Telehealth available statewide.
