You Don't Have to Figure This Out Alone

If you're struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, or trauma here in Gretna, you're carrying something heavy. Whether you live near the bustling Westbank or work along the industrial corridors that define our community, the weight of mental health challenges doesn't discriminate. You may feel alone in what you're going through, but reaching out for help is an act of real courage.

Integrative Recovery Therapies is here for Gretna residents through telehealth counseling that treats the whole person. We understand that mental health and substance use are often connected, and we address both with compassion and without judgment. You deserve care that sees you clearly and meets you where you are, not where you think you should be.

The Kind of Care Gretna Deserves

Gretna residents face real pressures from the petrochemical industry that shapes the local economy, bringing both opportunity and stress. When work is uncertain or the weight of supporting your family feels heavy, mental health struggles and substance use can quietly take hold. Getting support here means finding care that understands your community's specific challenges and meets you where you are, without judgment. Recovery and healing work best when they're rooted in compassion and built around your whole life, not just what's broken.

You Are Treated as a Peer

No labels, no lecturing. Every client is treated with dignity, like a member of our own family.

Whole-Person, Integrated Care

Mental health and addiction are treated together, not in separate silos. Because they are rarely separate.

Questions About Mental Health Care in Gretna

Integrative Recovery Therapies proudly serves Gretna and surrounding communities including Marrero, Waggaman, Terrytown, Avondale, and Westwego. Our convenient location makes it easy for residents throughout the West Bank area to access quality care. Beyond our physical office, we extend our services across Louisiana through telehealth appointments, allowing patients from all corners of the state to benefit from our integrated treatment approach. Whether you're local or prefer virtual sessions, we're here to support your recovery journey.

Yes. Integrative Recovery Therapies accepts both Medicaid and Medicare, as well as select commercial insurance plans and private pay options. We believe quality mental health and addiction care should be accessible regardless of income or insurance status. Please call us at (504) 229-2244 to confirm your specific plan before your first appointment.

Our IOP runs Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 PM, specifically so you can maintain your work and family commitments. Groups typically include around eight participants and focus on psychoeducation, skills training, peer support, and relapse prevention. IOP is a strong fit for people who need more structure than weekly therapy provides but do not require residential care. If you are unsure whether IOP is the right level of care, we will assess that together honestly during your intake conversation.

That is one of the most honest and important questions someone can ask. Many people have been through systems that treated them as a diagnosis rather than a whole person, or that separated their mental health from their addiction, or that relied on shame and compliance rather than genuine connection. At IRT, we build trust before technique. Sessions are never rushed or checklist-driven. We treat addiction and mental health together, address the underlying emotional and relational experiences, and stay with you even when the process is not linear. If we are not the right fit after all, we will say so honestly and help you find someone who is.

This Is Recovery That Is Human

If you're ready to talk or just need to know someone in Gretna is here to listen, we'd be honored to walk with you through this, one step at a time.
