Trauma can change how you sleep, how you trust, how you react, and how safe you feel in your own body. For Gramercy adults, this is steady, relational counseling that honors your story and your pace.
We move toward deeper processing only when you feel resourced enough, never before you're ready.
A small team by design. You'll never be passed around or treated like a number.
Non-punitive, always. We don't use shame as a tool, and we're direct with care.
Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial plans accepted.
A real person, not a call center, will respond to your inquiry.
When you reach out from Gramercy, your first sessions are about getting to know you. We listen to what you're hoping for and what's worked or not worked before. There's no rush to share difficult details. We move at the pace that feels right for your nervous system, not according to any schedule.
A real member of our team, often one of our founders, responds personally to understand what's going on.
Building grounding, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance so daily life becomes more manageable.
Gently addressing traumatic material, only with consent, in a way that reduces intensity and restores choice.
Strengthening identity, relationships, and values-based living so your life isn't organized around what happened.
Integrative Recovery Therapies serves clients throughout Gramercy and the surrounding area, including Luling, Paradis, Donaldsonville, and communities across St. James Parish. Whether you prefer meeting with a trauma counselor online through our secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform or visiting our in-person office in Metairie, we're here to work with you in the way that fits your life best.
Yes. We work with Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance plans. Our team will verify your specific benefits before your first session, and we're transparent about costs from the start.
No. Trauma counseling can start with stabilization, coping skills, and understanding your current symptoms. We move toward deeper processing with your consent and at a pace that supports safety.
We currently are unable to offer support for schizophrenia and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. For most other concerns, including PTSD, complex trauma, and co-occurring substance use, we treat them alongside anything else going on.
