Trauma can change how you sleep, how you trust, how you react, and how safe you feel in your own body. For Golden Meadow adults, this is steady, relational counseling that honors your story and your pace.
We move toward deeper processing only when you feel resourced enough, never before you're ready.
A small team by design. You'll never be passed around or treated like a number.
Non-punitive, always. We don't use shame as a tool, and we're direct with care.
Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial plans accepted.
A real person, not a call center, will respond to your inquiry.
Your first trauma counseling sessions are about learning what matters to you and what your nervous system needs right now. We listen to your goals, understand what's helped or hurt before, and let your pace guide us. There's no rush to relive anything. We build safety first.
A real member of our team, often one of our founders, responds personally to understand what's going on.
Building grounding, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance so daily life becomes more manageable.
Gently addressing traumatic material, only with consent, in a way that reduces intensity and restores choice.
Strengthening identity, relationships, and values-based living so your life isn't organized around what happened.
Integrative Recovery Therapies serves clients throughout Golden Meadow and the surrounding communities, including Leeville, Galliano, Larose, Cut Off, and Mathews. We understand that life gets busy, so we offer trauma counseling online through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth, or you can come in for in-person sessions at our Metairie office. Whatever works best for your schedule, we're here to help.
Yes. We work with Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance plans. Our team will verify your specific benefits before your first session, and we're transparent about costs from the start.
No. Trauma counseling can start with stabilization, coping skills, and understanding your current symptoms. We move toward deeper processing with your consent and at a pace that supports safety.
We currently are unable to offer support for schizophrenia and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. For most other concerns, including PTSD, complex trauma, and co-occurring substance use, we treat them alongside anything else going on.
