Why Clients Choose IRT

Mental Health Support Built Around Cut Off, Not a System

Living in Cut Off means carrying the weight of living close to water, where hurricane season brings real anxiety and recovery takes years, not months. Counseling gives you space to process that ongoing stress without judgment, to talk through the fatigue of rebuilding and worrying about the next storm. A trained counselor understands what it means to live with that kind of uncertainty and can help you build real resilience.

You're never reduced to a diagnosis. We focus on helping you feel grounded, connected, and capable of handling what life brings.

No Shame, Ever

We're direct when it supports growth, and we never use shame as a clinical tool.

How It Works

Your First Steps in Mental Health Counseling

Your first session is an opening conversation, not a diagnostic appointment. A counselor in Cut Off will spend time listening to what brings you in, learning your story at whatever pace feels right. There's no rush toward labels or quick answers. Together, you'll begin to understand what's happening and what might help.

Questions From Cut Off Clients

Integrative Recovery Therapies serves Cut Off and the surrounding communities, including Larose, Galliano, Golden Meadow, and Theriot. We offer mental health counseling both online through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth and in-person at our Metairie office, so you can choose what works best for your schedule and needs.

Yes. We work with Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance plans. Our team will verify your specific benefits before your first session, and we're transparent about costs from the start.

No. Some people come in with a clear diagnosis already, and others start because they feel stuck, reactive, exhausted, or disconnected. Both are valid reasons to reach out, and we'll work with wherever you're starting from.

We currently are unable to offer support for schizophrenia and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. For most other concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and ADHD-related struggles, we treat them alongside anything else going on.

You Don't Have to Carry This Alone.

Reaching out can feel both relieving and uncomfortable - that's what most people experience. Your first conversation is simply about whether we work well together, nothing more. You don't need a crisis, perfect words, or a complete picture figured out yet. We'll start exactly where you are, and show you what comes next.
